Competition Intro
Being China's most influential fur design competition, it has become a major stage for Chiese fur designers to show their passion and talent.
The 21st century is a rapid development period for China’s fur industry. Expert predicts that fur consumption will enter into a soonest increasing decade in China and market need has become a major motive force for the development of China’s fur industry.
Technique progress in fur material, increasing needs for special design and maturing consumption concept for fur have been expanding the well-made fur market while the multi-market and sub-market is coming into being. Through organizing international fur design competition, we hope we can do our best to the development of China’s fur industry, fur culture, fur market, and international exchange.
A Letter From International Fur Trade Federation (IFTF)
Dear China Selection Organizer,

IFTF is grateful to China National Native Produce and Animal By-Products Import and Export Corporation and to Sunry Advertising and Exhibition Company Ltd. for their interest in and support for IFTF International Fur Designer Competition.

As a leading fur manufacturer and major fur consumer, China plays an increasingly important role in the international fur industry.  Fur design has a long history in China, but design also benefits from new ideas and techniques. Talented young designers are necessary in any industry in order to stay fresh and innovative.

China’s successful 2006 competition showed the progress and artistic passion of young Chinese designers.  Fur design requires a special understanding, which was reflected in the entries. The Chinese competition provides an excellent opportunity to find and promote new emerging fur design talent and IFTF wishes to encourage such important efforts to continue.

Work for the 2007 IFTF International Fur Designer Competition is now beginning.  IFTF looks forward to seeing more excellent fur designs from China.
